On Tuesday, August 19, my father passed away.His already precarious health condition was made permanently worse by an infection that took him far too soon.This subdued and infirm disease, although not the ultimate cause, certainly created the conditions for it to come to this horrible conclusion.That is why we are opening this fundraiser in memory of my father, to make sure that fewer and fewer people have to fight unarmed against this monster.Only research can identify the underlying mechanisms, allow earlier and earlier diagnosis, and truly stop it with a definitive cure.Thank you all
