SECTION OF BARI

Bari office

The AISM section of Bari, established in 1980, works in the province to ensure support, autonomy and participation for people with multiple sclerosis and their families, helping them to overcome the limitations imposed by the disease on a daily basis and improve their quality of life. The section provides various services such as helpline, paperwork processing, legal counseling (free of charge for those who request it), psychological support (free of charge for those who request it), Train the Mind ( to keep cognitive activities in training), peer-to-peer confrontation and sharing through self-help groups dedicated to people with multiple sclerosis and family members, home medication pickup/delivery ( thanks to the agreement with Angels on Motorcycles), home care (thanks to the civil service), information events, infopoints in clinical centers in the province.
Since 2015, a "social counter" service has been in operation, offering useful information and guidance in dealing with paperwork for civil disability and handicap status verification, driver's license, badging, and targeted placement. Tax benefits and contributions, right to study, mobility, architectural barriers, facilities, work permits and social and health services in the area.
