The AISM Section of Parma has been active in the area since 1987.
The goal of our association is to ensure support, autonomy
and participation to people with multiple sclerosis and their families,
helping them to overcome the limitations imposed by the disease on a daily basis and to
improve their quality of life. The section, through its volunteers, is able to
able to contribute to the development of personal autonomy through the activity
of mobility support with equipped vehicles and medication delivery.
It carries out
information activities on the rights of people with disabilities, the laws
existing and their application, through the activity of reception,
carried out by volunteers within our Association, and the organization
of informative events on the issues that most affect the lives of people who
experience multiple sclerosis.
It proposes recreational and socialization activities, represents
and affirms the rights of people with MS through its presence in the
local institutions. It offers wellness activities, such as a Pilates class,
free of charge for people with MS and their caregivers, and the course of Gymnastics
gentle.
