"The AISM Provincial Section of Forlì-Cesena was established in 1989. Today it has 140 members of whom about 100 are people with MS. There are 80 Volunteers working in the Section (including several people with MS), 35 on a continuous basis and in complex roles of responsibility. Between members and users who are not yet members, there are more than 530 people with MS in direct contact or through their families with our Section (accounting for 60.4 percent of those estimated).

The purpose of the AISM is to improve the quality of life of people with MS by implementing various direct support services, the realization of which is based on collaboration with local authorities, local businesses, other Voluntary Associations and people who want to get involved in our activities. The activities that the Section offers to people with MS are in particular: home care, assisted mobility, the "train the mind" project to counter cognitive disorders, individual and/or group psychological therapy paths, and "Feldenskais" psychomotricity to counter spasticity and disability progression.

In the management of Person's Aid services, the most significant presence is that of Volunteers and young people in Universal Civil Service who engage in various ways, supporting Members and Operators in activities and services. TO JOIN the AISM is very simple: by contacting our offices in Forlì and Cesena, you pay the annual fee of 25 euros and become a Member for all purposes, acquiring the right to access the services organized by our Section and also the duty to participate, within the limits of your own time and possibilities."
