In memory of Hippolyta
A campaign in memory of Ippolita Loscalzo
Fundraising by AISM
Ippolita Loscalzo, a historic AISM volunteer, long-time President of the Milan AISM Section and AISM National Vice -President from 2001 to 2011, most of all embodied the great heart of our Association's movement.
Ippolita left her mark on each of the people she met and who loved her for the great care and concern she had for everyone, but what we want to remember most today is her precious legacy:
"In AISM we are all important, each doing our part: people with MS, family members, volunteers, researchers, donors, our supporters. We all contribute to winning the game of the heart, the one we are playing to have a world free of multiple sclerosis."
This is one of the last messages Ippolita left us and perhaps the most important one, a message of unity and perseverance that makes each of us a protagonist in the journey to achieve the dream she herself struggled to realize.
Ippolita Loscalzo's legacy already begins today. As FISM President Mario Alberto Battaglia explains, "Ippolita always loved the concreteness that changes things, she loved research, she dialogued with all doctors and researchers. And she told us many times, joking but not too much, that for her funeral she would not want flowers but concrete gestures of change. For this reason, the National Board of Directors of the Association and that of the Foundation, together with the Milan Section, have already decided to establish a Research Fund in his memory."
Thanks to your contribution we will be able to continue to realize Ippolita's dream: a world free of MS.
