Venice-Antelao: 0 to 3264m for Multiple Sclerosis Research
A campaign for the event "Venezia-Antelao: Da 0 a 3264m per la Ricerca sulla Sclerosi Multipla" (28/09/2024)
Fundraising by Andrea Niero
I am Andrea and, together with my friends and adventure partners Simone and Riccardo, we have decided to take on an ambitious challenge: to leave Venice by bike to reach the summit of Antelao, the King of the Dolomites, at 3264 meters. We will bike about 160 km and face 1700 meters of elevation gain, and then climb the remaining 2200 meters to the summit on foot.
We do this because we love the mountains and these challenges fill us with life. But there is more: we have decided to open this fundraiser for AISM to support important multiple sclerosis research, a cause that is very personal to me.
I have been living with MS for more than a year and a half, and thanks to research and people's support I can still face challenges like this
.
Now my passion for mountains and sports have taken their place again, and with this venture I want to help and inspire those who are facing the same diagnosis, as it was for me to read and learn about people with MS doing extraordinary feats, instilling hope and strength to continue to love life more and more and face new challenges.
Our goal is to raise a symbolic donation equal to the height of Antelao: 3264 meters. The challenge is scheduled for September 28-29 and you can follow it from our Instagram or Facebook socials @niero.andre, @simoneda_t and @riccardocarra.
One meter at a time, we will reach this ambitious peak together.
Research is key, and together we can really make a difference!
